With a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry, Jeff has gathered the requisite scientific knowledge to compliment his practical experience acquired through training and coaching. Jeff has coached women’s bikini and men’s bodybuilding national and provincial champions, professional natural bodybuilders and nationally and IPF Worlds qualified raw powerlifters.
Jeff has presented seminars on Block Periodization, concurrent training and nutrition and training for natural bodybuilding in academic settings including the 2014 Online Fitness Summit, the 2019 ultimate evidence-based conference (UEBC) and HAS guest lectured at the University of Iowa and lehamn college. He has aspirations of completing a PhD in exercise science or a related field.
Jeff Grew up as an active kid who always loved playing outside and learning new sports activities. His favorites were all ball games, including football, volleyball and basketball. He often visited the school’s gym, where he focused on building his muscles and strength to be better at sports.
His net worth is estimated to be over 7 million US dollars.
He has been in a relationship with fitness guru and YouTuber Stephanie Buttermore. He previously dated YouTube star and bikini competitor Robin Gallant.
Jeff and Robin Gallant, an athlete and fitness influencer, were once in a relationship, but they ended their romantic involvement a while ago. Despite the breakup, both Jeff and Robin maintained an amicable relationship and harbored no ill feelings toward each other. While their romantic chapter has closed, they continue to pursue their respective careers and personal endeavors, respecting their shared past and supporting each other’s journeys.
He also interviewed bikini competitor and fitness instructor Emily Duncan on his podcast.
Jeff follows a shredding diet program in summer to get in a photoshoot-ready condition. On the other hand, he switches to a bulking program in winter by bumping up his daily calorie intake.
Jeff is a fan of fruits and is one of the few athletes who consume fruits even on a shredding program. Notably, most other athletes avoid eating fruit as they contain a healthy dose of sugar.
One of Jeff’s passions is hypertrophy training. This is a form of training that focuses on building muscle fibres and developing large muscles in particular areas. He offers several hypertrophy training programmes on his website and discusses the topic at length in his youtube videos.
The Canadian fitness celebrity does not follow a vanilla bodybuilding program that includes hitting your chest on a Monday and back on a Tuesday. Instead, he uses a push, pull, and legs training split to train his muscles optimally.
Here is a brief overview of the PPL (push, pull, and legs) training program:
- Push:On the push day, you will be training your chest, arms (triceps), and shoulders.
- Pull: Your back is the primary target muscle group on the pull day. However, you will also be training your arms (biceps).
- Legs: Since your legs are the biggest muscle group in your body, they get a dedicated day. You will be hitting your hams, glutes, and calves on leg day.
Jeff is clearly passionate and dedicated to providing quality fitness information and to sharing the fruits of his university education. The knowledge you can gain from watching his videos or following a program will likely streamline your training while increasing results.
