Apple is reportedly gearing up to unveil iOS 19 for iPhones at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June 2025. Although official confirmation is pending, a report from French publication iphonesoft suggests that iOS 19 will be compatible with all current models running iOS 18.

The list of iPhones expected to support iOS 19 includes the upcoming iPhone 17 series and older models like the iPhone 16 series from 2024 and the iPhone 15 series from 2023. Even devices as old as the iPhone XS and XR from 2018 are included.

Here’s a List of iOS 19 Eligible iPhones

The report also highlights that while these devices will support iOS 19, not all features may be available on every model. This limitation is due to hardware constraints that might prevent some older devices from fully utilising new functionalities.

Moreover, the report reveals the iPadOS 19 eligible tablets. Unlike iPhones, some older models will no longer receive the latest iPadOS 19 update. The A10 chip in the iPad 7 is now considered too outdated for future updates. For compatibility with iPadOS 19, the tablet should run an A12 processor.
